What is Haldivita?
Turmeric has been used in India for thousands of years as a spice and medicinal herb.
Turmeric has compounds called curcuminoids, the most important of which is Curcumin.
Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric. It has powerful anti- inammatory
eects and is a very strong antioxidant. However, the curcumin content of turmeric is
not that high. Unfortunately, curcumin is poorly absorbed into the bloodstream. It helps
to consume black pepper with it, which contains piperine, a natural substance that
enhances the absorption of curcumin by 2,000%. Curcumin is also fat soluble, so it may
be a good idea to take it with a fatty meal.
Haldivita is a balanced mixture of ingredients which boosts the eect of curcumin. We grow a special type of turmeric called Suvarna, for Haldivita, in the hills near Badrinath,
Himalayas. This is a high yielding type released by IISR, Calicut. It has high curcumin
content of 8.7%(rare). This makes Haldivita a Unique Health Supplement.
